Visitors who come to Thakeperte tell us they want to learn about our Aboriginal culture and lifestyle. We’ll show you this by guiding you through our traditional homeland, teaching you about the plants, animals and the important dreaming stories as we go. Digging for honey ants is a favourite thing to do together, so is making weapons and paintings, and, if we can arrange it we’ll show you something very special like kangaroo being cooked in the ground or one of the wild horses being broken in.

We try to keep the activities as lose as we can. However, for school groups and those on limited time we are happy to provide more structured activities – just talk to us and we’ll do what we can.
